Nature in Nuneaton

Last week I met with Warwickshire Wildlife Trust at the Wem Brook Community Centre, where we discussed how nature in the UK is under threat, and how I can work with the local community to ensure it is protected.

This can be anything from encouraging constituents to partake in wildlife photography competitions and create habitats for bugs in their gardens, to hosting nature festivals and purchasing local land to become protected nature reserves.

We took a walk along the Wem Brook and looked at ways we can organise in the community to clean up our rivers and green spaces. It was a fantastic visit and the start of a great relationship with the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust.
